Christmas Cards

Back in 1994 I hit upon the idea of doing a series of Christmas cards that, as well as working as a little piece of professional self-promotion, would be an echo of, and tribute to the TV dramatisations of ghost stories –
a genre I’ve always loved – that the BBC
ran at Christmas during much of the 1970s.
This first series of cards ended in 2000,
but in 2014 I decided to start a second. Continuing the original format, each card includes a dramatic excerpt from the
chosen story, and on the back I give a little background to the writer and their work. They’re great fun to do, and some recipients tell me they keep them. It’s nice to
be collectible!
